I joined ITQ and you should think about it too! #ITQLife #WeAreHiring #VMware #Consultants #DreamTeam

Hello! I’m Arnaud Gandibleux! At the time of writing this article, I’m already working for more than 3 months at ITQ (Leuven). What does time fly when having fun!

I would like to take this opportunity to talk about how I got in contact with ITQ, my first weeks at the office and how we worked on my steep and personal development plan during the last months.

Before joining ITQ, I was already working in a Software-Defined environment. I was working on a large scale SDWAN project. Not with VMware technologies like ITQ does, but still more than cool and challenging enough.

I got in contact with Tom Vallons via LinkedIn. The network virtualization community is still quite small as companies are still discovering the advantages of virtualizing their LAN and WAN networks. So, LinkedIn is a great tool to get in contact with persons in the same domain of interest.

Our first moments of contact were very pleasing. Tom took his time to explain me who ITQ is and how they are placed in the VMware market.

Altogether I was attracted to his presentation of ITQ and I wanted to know more about the ITQ way of life/working. In the weeks after it got more concrete. I got a more technical call and was invited to join the colleagues for one day at the office. This, to get a “hands-on” experience of the great ITQ mentality.

That day was amazing, it confirmed everything that was told me before.

One of the other reasons to join ITQ was my personal development. As I strongly believe in the future and advantages of SDN/SDWAN, I want to develop myself more into this. And what’s better to do this with a great and appreciated partner of VMware. (ITQ Belux won 2 awards last month). And of course, working with VMware technologies: one of the greatest and most known vendors when talking about virtualization in my opinion.

While starting my journey, at ITQ, they proposed me a personal development plan. It was and still is a steep learning curve as I had almost no knowledge about VMware products. But until today I have no regrets that I accepted this challenge.

In the short time that I’m working at ITQ, I achieved 2 “VMware Certified Professional” Certificates. The result of hard work, the confidence of the ITQ management and the help of my dearest colleagues.

I hope to spend many more years at ITQ. They gave me a very warm welcome, a great chance of personal development and I would like to return them the favour in the coming months and years.

You like my story at ITQ? Please check how you can become part of this dreamteam!

Are you passionate about VMware technologies and you want to have an impact? Have a look at the following post by Tom Vallons, managing director at ITQ BeLux. He explains why to join ITQ!

ITQ sells knowledge. Without investing in their people, they lack knowledge and they would not stand were they are today. Hopefully I made my point clear in the above article.

People and technology are ONE at ITQ! #ITQLife #WeAreHiring #VMware #Consultants #DreamTeam @ITQ_belux
